Routing Instructions

If you need to use a self-built route, please contact our staff in advance for further operational guidance and business cooperation.

1. Basic Concepts

1.1 Route

  • A collection of multiple trunks, with calls placed through a routing strategy.

  • AI Agent or agents use routes to make calls, which are then delivered to users via trunks selected by number-segment matching and weight distribution.

1.2 Trunk (Line)

  • A SIP trunk used to initiate calls.

1.3 Trunk Attributes

  • Gateway Address: The gateway address of the trunk.

  • Called Prefix: The prefix replacement required by the trunk for the called number.

  • Max Concurrent: The maximum number of concurrent calls allowed on the trunk.

  • CPS: The maximum calls per second allowed on the trunk.

  • Number Pool: Numbers that can be used by a specific trunk, divided into:

    • Inbound & Outbound Numbers: Can be used for outbound calls and support user callbacks.

    • Inbound Numbers: Only support callbacks.

    • Outbound Numbers: Can only be used for outbound calls, do not support callbacks.

    • If no number is configured, the outbound capability depends on how the trunk provider handles calls without a caller ID.

1.4 Trunk Selection Attributes

  • Number-segment matching

  • Weight

2. Outbound Routing

When making outbound calls through a route, trunks are selected based on trunk selection attributes:

  • Number-Segment Matching: Only numbers matching the segment rules can use the trunk.

  • Weight: The usage ratio of a trunk. If multiple trunks match a number segment, the trunk is selected probabilistically based on the configured weight (weighted distribution).

3. Inbound Routing

Inbound routing allows incoming calls to be distributed to the correct route or trunk based on predefined rules.
