WhatsApp message level upgrading standard process


WhatsApp's message sending limit is divided into four levels: 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, and no limit. The specific process for improving the message level of a WA number is as follows:

Preparation:

  • Successfully complete WABA registration and pass enterprise certification review (required).
  • Apply for an official business account (green badge). It is recommended that companies with a certain level of popularity apply, but it's not required.

Improvement standards:

  • The WhatsApp number status is connected.
  • The WhatsApp number quality rating is medium or high.
  • In the past 7 days, initiate at least X conversations with independent customers (X=current message limit/2).

Example 1: Message limit increased from 1,000 to 10,000 in 2 days

Note: If the time of the 500th conversation initiated by the business is 3 pm (for example), meta will increase the message limit at 3 pm the next day (i.e., 24 hours later).

Note: If the time of the 500th conversation initiated by the business is 7 pm (for example), meta will increase the message limit at 7 pm the next day (i.e., 24 hours later).

Operational steps:

Step 1: Create a template

Create a WhatsApp message template on the NiuXin platform, then submit it for meta review. The review process can take up to 24 hours, but it can also be approved in just a few minutes. Once the template is approved, you can start sending messages.
Note: If it's an
OTP template used only for verification purposes, it's recommended to include phrases like "This number is only for sending verification codes. For other issues, please contact XXX" in the template to avoid complaints from users who receive no response after replying to the message.

Step 2: Send messages

In theory, you can upgrade to a message limit of no restrictions within a week, but it depends on the actual situation.

Note: The number of template messages sent in the past 7 days must be at least half of the current message limit, and the message quality rating must be medium or high to upgrade to the next level.
